Once the area around Scuol, Tarasp and Vulpera was known as spa and bathing resort, as meeting point for the European high Nobility. Then skiers have discovered this beauty spot in the Lower Engadin.

It is the perfect place for those, who would like to enjoy dignified comfort and cosiness. Scuol and its neighbouring communities are located in the eastern corner of Switzerland, surrounded by the imposing peaks of the Silvretta and the "Engadin Dolomites". People here still speak Rhaeto-Romanic and they are very attached to their traditions.

The view of Scuol with its art nouveau holiday village Vulpera is shaped by the architectural style of the turn of the century. High above the Inn there is the mighty castle of Tarasp. The history of the holiday region began here with the cures.

Once czar Nicholas II and empress Wilhelmina hoped for the curative effects of the 25 mineral springs – today skiers find their way into the region, because the slopes and cross-country ski runs rank among the most beautiful ones: for example the fantastic slope from Champatsch to Scuol, which is scenically unique and very varied. On this route, guests can make a worthwhile detour to the small village Sent, because there are ancient houses with baroque "Senter gables".

Two cable cars lead from Scuol to Motta Naluns. Next to the mountain station there is a perfect exercise area for young talents; aside, there are the broad and slightly sloped ski runs between Motta Naluns and Schlivera, which are accessible by a chair lift – all in all a paradise for beginners and families.

But only those, who go on towards Jonvrai and explore the slopes on both sides of the valley, discover the diversity of the ski resort. The slopes are easily manageable by beginners, but there are also several challenging mogul slopes and longer scarps. The classic is the sunny and dreamlike downhill to Sent.
