From Andermatt’s ski mountain Gemsstock you have a wonderful view over the Glarner Alps, the mountains of Tessin, the Alps of the Wallis and last but not least to the mighty Mont Blanc in the West.
Mount Gemsstock, nearly 3000 m high is a paradise for ski cracks, boarders and powder-fans. You reach Andermatt by taking the deep Gotthard-Tunnel.
The Mount Gemsstock is Andermatt’s ski mountain. Here mostly good skiers and freeriders feel fine. Very fast is for example the Bernhard-Russi-Run: it is 8 km long and offers 1550 m of difference in altitude.
Easier runs can be found in Gurschenalp area and in the ski resorts Winterhorn and Nätschen. Uncountable are the backcountry-possibilities on Mount Gemsstock.
