A skiing holiday in Brixen in the South Tyrolean valley Eisacktal means snow-sure ski areas, many sunny slopes above the tree line and a nice episcopal town that goes back far in history.

One of the most wanted skiers’ destinations is the 2,465 m high Mt. Plose. The popularity of Brixen’s nearby mountain is due for instance to its proximity to the Brenner motorway, the pretty mountain inns or the inviting sun decks. However, of prime importance is the optimal development of the slopes for skiers.

Whether uncertain beginners or pros seeking for adrenaline: skiing on Mt. Plose fulfills nearly every wish. Many easy and moderately heavy pistes are located on sunny slopes above the tree line and they are reachable with comfortable chairlifts. A showpiece for skilled sportsmen is the demanding descent Trametsch. With its 1,400 m of difference in altitude it is considered as longest ski run throughout South Tyrol.

Last but not least during a skiing holiday in Brixen also sun worshippers and nature lovers will get their money’s worth – especially when they enjoy the breathtaking view on the Dolomites during the ascent from St. Andrä.
