Lech and Zürs, these two names have been standing for revolutionary developments in alpine skiing for years. Here the first ski courses were held more than 100 years ago. Furthermore, the first T-bar lift in Austria started running here in 1937 and also the world-wide first seat-heaters on chairlifts were installed here in 2004.

Mt. Arlberg is famous because of its perfectly prepared slopes and ample deep-powder snow areas: Lech, Zürs and Oberlech are the best destinations for whoever is looking for pure snow and ski fun. The area around Mt. Arlberg is Austria’s most snow-reliable zone: big avalanche barriers have to protect roads and villages against the enormous quantities of snow.

The ski resort of Lech and Zürs is situated between 1,450 and 2,337 meters above sea level and offers ski and snowboard fun on endless kilometers of slopes. Lech and Zürs also feature one of the most beautiful circuit-ski-runs of Austria, which is one of the top-attractions of the skiing area.

On the top of Mt. Rüfikopf you should first of all enjoy the amazing view on countless snow-covered mountains. Then the adventure can begin: great slopes and also an avalanche-protected powder snow area bring you to Monzabon and to the ski resort of Zürs. There we recommend the popular Hexenboden slopes and the Mt. Trittkopf area with its more challenging ski runs and beautiful ski routes.
