Kleinwalsertal - a valley in Vorarlberg in Austria - can only be reached from Germany, from Oberstdorf to be more precise. And it’s above all the difficult accessibility of this valley that is highly appreciated by holiday makers.

They enjoy its quietness and tradition that are still kept alive, the sublime mountain world and the many-sided winter sports offers.

The area of Kleinwalsertal looks back to a past full of changes. In the 13th century it was populated by the Walsers and later it came under Bavarian control. Ski tourism in Kleinwalsertal began in 1940. First the so called Parsenn lift was built and then many other ski lifts followed.

Meanwhile you can go skiing in different areas, including the ones of Walmendinger Horn, the small but nice ski runs of Hirschegg Ifen and the valley Schwarwassertal, as well as the ski resort Kanzelwand near Riezlern.  Ifen, Walmendinger Horn and Kanzelwand have a lot of varied ski runs for beginners and for expert skiers, too.
