Hochjoch: winter paradise for families
The skiing area Hochjoch in Montafon is located at circa 2,400 meters above sea level above the villages Schruns and Silbertal. All in all it offers about 40 kilometers of ski runs, exploited by many chair lifts, ski tows and cable cars and it is popular mostly among families.
The abundance of blue ski runs is the central argument that is in favor of a skiing holiday in Hochjoch together with the kids. They can discover nearly the whole area on easy slopes, so that they will always return to the valley station without any difficulty. For advanced skiers there are available also some red slopes. However there is only a shortage of black variants, in return demanding athletes can try some interesting ski routes.
In the so called “NTC Dreamland” children can easily learn skiing at a snow-sure height of 1,850 meters above sea level. Last but not least skiing in Hochjoch Schruns is popular also among après-ski fans, because there are some very nice and rustic ski lodges.
