In the south of Upper Austria, rather on the extensive mountain pastures called Hutterer Böden and on the 2,000 meter high Mt. Hutterer Höss, there is located the world cup village and the skiing area Hinterstoder Höss. It delights with rustic huts, numerous deep snow slopes and first-class conditions for beginners, families and skilled skiers.
The very steep downhill Hösskogel starting on the mountain station of the chairlift of the same name, several black ski runs, the rating piste and the world cup slope “Hannes Trinkl” are exciting challenges for well-trained skiers with stamina.
Nevertheless skiing in Hinterstoder Höss means fun also for less experienced winter sportsmen. As soon as you get off the Hössbahn cable-car you will see the most important training grounds for novices. Especially for children there is offered the “Sunny Kids Park” with magic carpets, obstacle course and funny figures next to the mountain station.
