The sunny Wildschönau, on the edge of the Kitzbüheler Alps, is a well-renowned paradise for those who are looking for a comfortable winter holiday.
However, comfortable is by no means the same as boring: the race'n'boarder arena at the feet of the Mount Marbachjoch is a great attraction especially among snowboard kids.
Skiing has a long tradition in the Wildschönau region: already in 1947 a chair lift took the guests from Niederau to Mount Markbachjoch.

Ambitious ski freaks prefer the steep northern hillsides of Mount Markbachjoch and Mount Lanerköpfl. Snowboarders find a heavenly home in the snowboard park on the Mount Schatzberg and in "race'n'boarder arena" in Niederau.
